REALLY, AT&T??????

North Korean flag when I click South Korea, and I don’t know what that flag is when I click North Korea….

Really…? This is disappointing…

Here’s the link: http://callinternational.att.com/howItWorks/howItWorks.htm

Just click south/north korea in the drop down…

———————————

So… turns out AT&T is jumping into VoIP and they are offering an app that you can call internationally for a cheap price… only that the flags are really screwed up…

Ask a Korean!

Feel like asking questions to a Korean?

Check the link out.

PS. You should use perfect grammar when you e-mail this dude. He seems picky about stuff. He claims that he’s an immigrant who learned English when he was 16 and speaks it well, and therefore other Americans shouldn’t use bad grammar. Sorta weird, but… yeah.. Nonetheless the blog is interesting.

Within Korea - Such a shame that many people have to act negatively towards all current presidents. Then they say good things about them once they commit suicide. Lame.

continuation of the tattooing

This is an edit, sort of, of the previous tattooing entry that I posted.

I received some feedback from haxi and decided to write something more to make myself justifiable.

I’ve decided that for the purpose of getting tattoos and being a tattoo artist in Korea, tattooing is still illegal.

  1. There is no law regarding Tattooing in Korea.
  2. However, there are some laws regarding needles.
  3. Using of a needle should only be done by doctors
  4. This actually derives from some law claiming that you aren’t allowed to apply medicine to someone else unless you’re a doctor. Apparently for that sake, taking things to the extreme, applying medicine on your son’s knee when he stumbles, is also illegal. Technically speaking.
  5. Tattooing, is not an application of medicine, so there is some uproar.
  6. Regardless, it uses needles.
  7. Therefore, doctors can be the only legal tattooists.
  8. However, doctors don’t do tattoos.
  9. The only tattoo they do would be “permanent make-up” regarding eyebrows and such.
  10. However, there is another statement, claiming that there indeed are people with doctor’s license performing tattoos.
  11. And such doctors are trying their best to monopolize the job and keep it to themselves. From this, pressure on the government.

Now this derives off to other completely random stuff that is out of the scope of this blog entry.

But for the purpose of this discussion, tattoo artists in Korea should have a doctor’s license to do the job, only because they deal with needles; nothing to do with the tattoo itself. However, it seems safe to assume that most tattoo artists don’t have a doctor’s license.

Hence tattooing (if you want to get one in Korea) is an illegal action.

One more side note. People’s views toward tattoos aren’t that great in Korea either (unless you’re the new age youngsters). Reasons?

  1. Many gangsters had tattoos to symbolize that they have been marked and will commit to the group.
  2. Against Confucian belief of our bodies given from ancestors. And therefore, shouldn’t be modified or damaged.

Anyway… This was one long post that I’ve done in a while.

Tattoo

So… New information that I just found out through a random news article that I simply HAD to post.

Apparently…..

Tattooing in Korea is illegal.

..

.

WTF.

You see freaking “micky yoochun” from TVXQ with the stupid “always keep the faith” tattoo. Why don’t they arrest him. Oh, I guess he did it outside of Korea? -_-

One of the small things that I see every now and then that shows Korea conservationist. Then again, what does that have to do ANYTHING with tattooing? weird.

Video made by 2PM fans to Jae Bum.

You know… I honestly don’t know what to say to the “good bye” of jaebum…
Korean Netizens are just… argggh!! The situation is funny enough to laugh at, yet the circumstances make me angry towards Korean media and people with way too much free time on their hands, writing retarded comments on the internet.

I’m not a big fan of JaeBum or anything, but it makes me mad that Koreans tend to complain about racism in other countries, yet are able to shun out a third-generation Korean American due to a “diss” towards Korea. WTF.

Anyway, the video was created by Korean fans, in hopes to bring Jaebum back.

Speaking of which, 2PM says that they’re going to continue their activities sans Jaebum, and the fans are having mixed feelings; some people are boycotting their shows until Jaebum comes back. WTF, they’re a GROUP; one of the members leaving doesn’t have to mean you have to start hating the GROUP themselves…

I think my writings are starting to not make sense. Whatever.. I’m just too tired right now for it.

blah blah blah -_-

Remembering Namiseom in Korea this summer

I don’t believe it!!!!!!! NO!!! -_-
Hyunbin and Song Hye Gyo are dating. Officially. Even their representatives confirmed that. I think I’m going to visit cheongdam a lot from now on just to spot them as it is said that they like to visit the cafes in that area.

About

Bored in Pittsburgh for now.
Summertime isn't as good as it used to be when I was younger, it seems. Don't you feel the same way?

This blog is probably the most random blog you could find with bits and pieces scrapped from here and there, as long as it caught my attention at the time.

Any Questions?
