페르난도 보테로 (Fernando Botero) 그림을 한국에서도 볼수 있다니.. 콜롬비아에서 내세울수 있는 몇 안돼는 것들 중에 하나인데… 한국에 계시면 꼭 보러가요! 강추!
It really does surprise me that Fernando Botero is on show here in Korea, especially at this time when I’m here. I hear that it’s not the first time he has a show here, but the first time he actually visited here to have interviews and all.
His older paintings are all donated to Colombia, and therefore the paintings and sculptures on display in Korea will cover his relatively recent works. Funnily, it makes things better for me because I’ve been to “Donacion Botero” numerous times to see his older works and colletions of other famous paintings.
It is quite unfortunate, I must admit, that Botero is being overlooked at this point here in Korea. After all, Renoir is on display at roughly the same time period with Botero. Such a shame…
